Juniors

Registrations are now closed for the 2023 Season for Juniors and Miniroos.

Our philosophy is that every team plays a possession game based on an excellent passing game.

Every team develops individual players so they can change outcomes in games, be comfortable when in possession of the ball, even under pressure (coaches often enforce not kicking the ball long, even if they make mistakes) and be disciplined.

Every team will have a well-organised defence and use teamwork to learn how to put pressure on, after losing possession and have a winning mentality.

Good links between the team lines, to use the width of the pitch is important (players 7 and 11- attack the goal, are able to cut in and good on 1v1).

So our first option is not winning the game but developing players to play a good possession attacking, skilled football game. If we instil this in our teams, winning will follow and that will be our final product and confirmation of success. (This is similar to a child going to school to learn and through that process they achieve their final outcome such as becoming an engineer or a doctor etc.). Our process is to instil this thinking in the young child through to the finished product, the adult footballer.
